The Giving Partner is a powerful online resource presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
This tool helps donors, funders, and community members understand more about nonprofits in our region and discover how to engage in the causes they care about.
Launched in 2012, The Giving Partner (a collaborative effort of founding members including the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Manatee Community Foundation and The Patterson Foundation) is a searchable online database of nonprofit organizations serving in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties which have demonstrated their commitment to transparency and created profiles for their organizations.
- A centralized nonprofit directory and searchable database for year-round awareness, engagement and giving containing more than 700 active profiles for 501(c) charitable organizations
- Each profile reflects an organization’s commitment to transparency and shares their story
- A trusted resource for grantmakers and other entities for philanthropic research
- Note: To be eligible for grants, the Giving Challenge and other opportunities through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, nonprofit organizations must maintain a updated profile, which signifies that the organization has provided the required content and key information was reviewed by our team (this is not a grade, rating or certification).
- There is no cost for a nonprofit organization to have a profile

Based on national best practices from Candid (formerly known as Guidestar) we have included demographic fields for nonprofit organizations’ board members and leadership. Having a greater knowledge of our community allows stakeholders to make better informed decisions.
